Rainbow Nursery glows in Stanwell
A year ago the Rainbow pre-school was operating out of a 13-year-old Portakabin in Stanwell but now it is in new premises and has been given a glowing Ofsted report.
The 26-child nursery set up home in a brand new building in the grounds of St David's Church in Everest Road in September and its reputation has grown so much there is now a waiting list of more than 60 children.
The pre-school was judged to be strong in every department and was particularly commended for its "vibrant" environment, quality of teaching and "appealing" garden.
And Rachael Moore, who manages the nursery, said two or three people a day are coming into the nursery to put their children on the waiting list and they have even had parents putting them forward at birth.
She said: "We love our job and outsiders coming in and seeing the good work we are doing makes everything worthwhile. It's very rewarding doing something different every day. The building itself is great for the children and I think the inspector realised that."
