A large bag of meat which which residents believe could be organs and body parts was found by police at around 3.00pm on Wednesday May 20.

Detectives were called to just outside Stanwell Burial Grounds, in Town Lane, Stanwell where they investigated a large blue bag containing the red and white flesh and spent a few hours taking pictures and carrying out forensics.

Police launched a two-day initiative to cut back on anti-social driving on Monday 19 May and Tuesday 19 May.

The idea was to cut back on dangerous driving in Ashford and Stanwell, which saw police officers from Spelthorne check random vehicles to cut down on cold callers and rogue traders.


The destruction of 13 homes began on Monday May 11 as the tip of the spear for a gargantuan re-generation project in Stanwell.

Stanwell New Start got under way as bulldozers started to flatten 13 homes in Victory Close, Stanwell, as part of A2Dominion and Spelthorne Council's £50 million scheme.

Firefighters were kept busy over the bank holiday weekend after they were called to
six incidents.

In the early hours of Monday April 4, firemen from Staines and Egham were called to an arson attack in Falcoln Drive, Stanwell, when a garage was set alight.
