Large bag of flesh found in Stanwell
A large bag of meat which which residents believe could be organs and body parts was found by police at around 3.00pm on Wednesday May 20.
Detectives were called to just outside Stanwell Burial Grounds, in Town Lane, Stanwell where they investigated a large blue bag containing the red and white flesh and spent a few hours taking pictures and carrying out forensics.
The parts were put into a clear plastic bag, and it is believed they were taken to Ashford Hospital so surgeons could check if they belonged to a human or an animal.
Michelle Tudor said: "I caught a look at it when I was walking the dogs. It was still fresh and had blood on it, and it looks like there is a heart in there. It is quite scary, and my little one is going to have nightmares about it.
"One week there is a fire, and the next week there is this."
The bag was found sitting under a tree, and detectives said there was a possibility that it was meat from a halal butcher that had been dumped, as it is believed there were markings found on the meat.

Sounds like something out of Shakespeare and Merchant of Venice: the pound of flesh, Shylock?
